La Calle… aka The Street

Modern Mexican Cuisine takes a BIG step into Baltimore City!

The lifelong dream of Chef Valentino Sandoval is manifesting itself right here in the heart of Baltimore City. With 20+​ years devoted to the culinary world​, starting as a dishwasher in Philadelphia, Chef Val has honed his fine dining experience side by side with top Philadelphia Chef, Mark Vetry, owner of Vetry Restaurant. Moving to the Baltimore area in 2016 led Chef Valentino into Hampden’s infamous Corner Bar as Chef De Cuisine.

Bringing us to this present day, where Chef Val and his 3 brothers have partnered up to launch La Calle – 10 South Street, Baltimore, MD in late Spring 2018.

What is La Calle bringing to the table? Deep rooted Mexican traditions smacked with modern culinary fundamentals! This means everything from the masa to the sauces will have special attention to detail, using the freshest local Maryland and indigenous Mexican ingredients. Ancient chocolate mole, crossed with exotic chiles, slow cooked ​barbacoa stuffed into fresh tortilla, savory sauces such as truffle cuitlacoche aioli and poblano peppers ala crema, all made with love in an open style Baltimore kitchen. Traditional Mexican Drinks with a twist will be coupled with an exciting seasonal menu.
